Pomerol is a locally owned Fremont neighborhood restaurant serving the best northwest ingredients in a French preparation with a wood fired grill and sunny patio. The restaurant is named Pomerol, not for the famous wines, but for the unique, private, family owned properties that are still operated as they were 100 years ago.

The Pomerol appellation has never had an official classification, it does not appear in the official classification of the great wines of Bordeaux of 1855. We therefore propose today a classification of Pomerol wines made by us. This one is therefore not official, it allows on the other hand to have a good approach of the work of its castles since 20 years.

Pomerol and Saint-Emilion – these two Bordeaux appellations are widely known for the Merlot blends. Though these appellations are quite often discussed in th Three years in the making, the award winning “Pomerol” is the definitive book on one of Bordeaux’s least known appellations. Authored by Neal Martin, founder of Wine-Journal and presently a contributor to The Wine Advocate , it is a personal portrayal that seeks to convey the spirit of Pomerol both past and present.
